Uzbekistan has signed a letter of intent with France on the acquisition of 34 Airbus aircraft. The document was signed during the two-day visit of the French delegation headed by Jean-Baptiste Lemoine, co-chairman of the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation, Secretary of State under the Minister for European and Foreign Affairs.

According to the minister, single-engine helicopters purchased by Uzbekistan will be operated for the purpose of providing emergency medical care.

Jean-Baptiste Lemoine also announced the plans of the French Development Agency to finance a project worth 73 million euros, the implementation of which will be aimed at upgrading the Charvak hydroelectric station.
