The loan agreements for $ 300 million were signed by Uzbekistan and the World Bank (WB), reports the Ministry of Justice.
The meeting was held as part of the visit of the Uzbek delegation to Washington during the spring meetings of the Board of Governors of the World Bank and the IMF.
Uzbekistan and the World Bank signed loan agreements totaling $ 300 million to finance projects in Uzbekistan aimed at improving municipal services and urban infrastructure and developing entrepreneurship in the Fergana Valley.
“Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Finance of Uzbekistan Jamshid Kuchkarov and WB Vice President for Europe and Central Asia Cyril Muller signed credit agreements for $ 300 million to support development projects for urban and rural enterprises in Uzbekistan,” wrote Hideki Mori on Twitter.
