Heads of tax inspections of seven districts were dismissed in Tashkent, who did not fulfill the forecast for budget revenues. This was announced on April 4 at a video-conference meeting with the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, reports Fergana agency.
Uzbek President Mirziyoyev instructed the city prosecutor and chief tax officer to examine the situation.
According to the Kun.uz source, the mayor of Tashkent, Jahongir Artykkhodjayev, received a serious warning. “What can be done for 515 billion soums? How many roads can you build? Mayor of Tashkent and district hokims should be ready for reports. I will personally talk with each mayor. Many things depend on answer of Artykhodjayev. If they cannot answer the questions correctly, then the first deputy and the taxman will be dismissed", - steressed Uzbek President.
At the meeting it became clear that the forecast for budget revenues was not met in nine districts and cities. The State Tax Committee is charged to consider the issue of compliance with the position of heads of tax departments of these districts and cities.
