The fleet of the National Airline of Uzbekistan has been replenished with the first highly economical Airbus A320neo aircraft equipped with Wi-fi, reports CA-News.
The new aircraft, delivered from Hamburg (Germany), is designed to carry 150 passengers. The A320neo differs from its predecessors in that it can save up to 20% of fuel and has a range of up to 5,000 km.
According to Uzbekistan Airways, the contract for the supply of two Airbus A320neo aircraft was concluded in 2017, as part of the development strategy and modernization program and unification of the NAC aircraft fleet. Delivery of the second aircraft is expected in early April. In October-November 2020, it is planned to purchase the third Airbus A320.
In addition, it is planned to deliver two Boeing 787 Dreamliner airliners from April to June of this year.
Recall, on December 24, 2018, it was reported that the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft worth $ 200 million, owned by the National Airline of Uzbekistan, failed in two years of operation.
