The "Kyrgyz Choroloru" public association, known as "Kyrk Choro", is planning to hold a rally on March 13 demanding the resignation of Bishkek mayor Aziz Surakmatov and other responsible persons for granting permission to hold a march on March 8.
According to the head of the organization, Zamirbek Kochorbayev, on March 11, an action will be held in which the municipality employees are going to give notice of a larger rally on March 13. The union members believe that on March 8, under the cover of a march for the rights of women in the capital, they held a "gay parade", for which the mayor's office is responsible.
In addition, it should be noted that on March 8, an annual women's march for women's rights was held in Bishkek. And some protesters carried banners and posters in support of the LGBT community, which caused outrage among some citizens.
