About 128 thousand tons of coal have been produced in Tajikistan since the beginning of the year,  the Ministry of Industry and New Technology of the country reads.

“The indicated volume of coal was produced by five enterprises of the industry from the beginning of the year - until February 22, which is 28 thousand tons or 28.2% more than in the same period of 2018,” the message reads.

Recall Tajik miners mined in 2018 more than 1.9 million tons of coal. Last year, coal mines were engaged in the mining of 12 companies in the country. The Ministry of Industry emphasizes that about 45 thousand tons of coal last year were exported to neighboring countries.
