Shortage of air tickets for foreign flights observed in Turkmenistan

Turkmenistan has a shortage of air tickets. According to Azatlyk correspondents, there are no airline tickets for foreign flights in the coming months.

“They say that thickets will be only in two months. They also suggest to contact us on the day of departure, there may be empty seats if someone does not get on the flight or is late. Moreover, according to the shift officers and help desk staff that on each flight, usually 4 places are reserved, two of them for members of the government, one place for employees of the Ministry of National Security, another one for the Ministry of Internal Affairs”, - reports one of the Azatlyk correspondents in Ashgabat.

In addition, according to another Azatlyk correspondent in the Turkmen capital, in particular, there are no tickets to Moscow and Minsk until December.

Moreover, air tickets in Turkmenistan can be purchased only for cash. Payment is made directly at the checkout, online payment or using a bank card is not available.
