Uzbekistan won the nomination «Тор emerging destination» according to the British magazine Wanderlust.

According to the State Committee for Tourism Development, the Wanderlust World Guide Awards, a tourism awards ceremony, was held at the London Exhibition Center Olympia, according to the British magazine Wanderlust, which specializes in covering events in the tourism industry.

The magazine organized a contest by conducting a survey among its readers to determine the winners in such nominations as “the most popular country to visit”, “a rapidly developing tourist destination”, “the most popular city for tourists”, “ best airline, best tour operator and others.

“Uzbekistan was declared the winner of the competition in the nomination “ Top emerging destination”.  According to the organizers of the event, during the voting, Uzbekistan was able to outrun Iran (last year’s winner), thanks to the rich cultural and historical heritage of the years. Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva, also measures taken to develop the tourism market, ”the committee’s press service reports.
