In the coming years, it is planned to reduce the share of imports of goods by 14% at the expense of affordable credit for manufacturing enterprises, said the Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development Zhenis Kasymbek during a board meeting.
“In order to develop “an economy of simple things” special conditions and a mechanism for affordable lending to domestic enterprises have been identified in the amount of 600 billion tenge, 400 billion tenge of which will be directed to the manufacturing industry. The new financing will allow in the coming years to reduce the share of imports for these products by 14-15%,” said the Minister.
He added that the measures taken will allow to launch and increase the production of about 250 consumer goods that are used daily by Kazakhstanis. These are products of light industry, furniture industry, also building materials.
