German Ambassador to Tajikistan, Knight Hart Höfer-Wissing said that Tajik authorities have repeatedly expressed concern over the Tajik opposition in Germany and demanded their extradition.
"We told Tajikistan to send us clear evidence that the Tajik opposition representatives had committed crimes or illegal acts. We examine them and make decisions. In Germany, the guilt of a person is determined solely by the court", - noted the German diplomat.
Germany is one of the many European countries where have been living many supporters of the Islamic Renaissance Party banned in Tajikistan. Also, scholars and journalists who disagree with the Tajik authorities' policy are also sheltering in Germany.
In addition, the German diplomat noted that the German authorities are not interested in the political views of refugees.
Recall, it is worth noting that the number of asylum-seekers in European countries has increased since the autumn of 2015. The reason for this was the announcement of the "Islamic Revival Party" and the "24th" group in Dushanbe as terrorist organizations.
