A new oncology clinic for 50 million euros will be created in Uzbekistan, reports the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan.
Recently, representatives of the German OPASCA German Oncology Solutions GmbH and the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan signed a memorandum on the project to create a modern clinic in Tashkent, provided with the latest technologies and equipment, as well as the training of Uzbek specialists in the clinic of the prestigious University of Mannheim (Germany).
"As a result, it will be possible to diagnose and effectively treat the most difficult and complex cases. Most importantly, in this modern hospital, leading specialists and scientists of Germany will work on an ongoing basis. In addition, local specialists will be trained by professors from the University of Mannheim. Thus In the history of our country, for the first time, the foundation will be laid for the system of regular training and retraining of specialists in Germany,” said Alisher Shadmanov, Minister of Health.
In Uzbekistan today, more than 100 thousand cancer patients are officially registered.
