The Ministry of Economy and Industry was established in Uzbekistan, the UzTAG reports.

In particular, the Ministry of Economy has been transformed into the Ministry of Economy and Industry. This is stated in the presidential decree "On measures to fundamentally improve the system for implementing state policy in the field of economic development."

The main goals of the ministry were to improve the business environment, reduce the "shadow" economy, and encourage private business.

In addition, the scope of work of the new ministry includes the analysis and forecasting of macroeconomic indicators, the development of proposals for the introduction of market-based economic management mechanisms and the formation of strategies for the development of its main industries.

In addition, the ministry is appointed by the authorized body to develop a strategy and conduct state policy in the field of socio-economic and industrial development.

Until June 1, the ministry will prepare a Concept for the socio-economic development of Uzbekistan until 2030.
