According to the experience of Almaty, the waste sorting complex should be distributed and built in all regions of the country, said Nursultan Nazarbayev during a teleconference to launch industrial, innovative and infrastructure projects.
“Getting in large metropolitan areas a huge amount of recycled materials, garbage and its processing is a very profitable business, which we have not yet engaged. It is good that it started from Almaty. The biggest city, the biggest waste is obtained. This experience needs to be spread, and exactly the same should be built in Astana so that all the garbage in Kazakhstan is recycled,” said N. Nazarbayev.
Today, a waste sorting complex launched with a capacity of 550 thousand tons in Almaty, in the North-Kazakhstan region - a plant for the production of metal-plastic products. The construction of the waste sorting complex of GreenRecycle LLP in Almaty continued in 2017-2018. The project capacity is 550 thousand tons. The project will be able to satisfy the internal flow of management of industrial and municipal waste of the city.
