The trade turnover of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan increased by more than 40% in the first 9 months of 2018 compared to the same period in 2017, reports the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan from the first Interregional Forum Kazakhstan - Uzbekistan.
“Mutual trade between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan is characterized by positive dynamics. The trade turnover for the first 9 months of 2018 amounted to more than $ 2 billion, which is more than 40% higher than the same period of the previous year, ” the message reads.
“Following the results of 2018, according to forecasts, the volume of mutual trade will amount to $ 3 billion. Considering the large potential for further increase in the volume of trade, the heads of state have set the task of achieving commodity turnover up to $ 5 billion by 2020,” the First Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Askar Mamin said.
