The rate of inflation in the consumer sector of Tajikistan for the ten months of this year was 4.7%, the statistics agency of Tajikistan reports.

''For the same period last year, prices and tariffs in the country increased by 6%'', the message reads.

Last month inflation was 0.7%. In particular, food products rose in October by 1.4%, non-food products - 0.3%, and paid services, on the contrary, fell by 0.6%.

In general, since the beginning of this year, food products, non-food products and services have risen in price by 4.7%.
Following the results of this year, the Government of Tajikistan plans to keep inflation at a level not higher than 7%.

At the end of 2017, inflation in the country amounted to 6.7%.
