USAID has officially launched a new five-year project “Competitive Agribusiness Activities” in the city of Bokhtar.
More than 170 participants in the ceremony, including representatives of the state administration of Khatlon, the private sector and trade, also local businessmen welcomed the US Chargé d'affaires, Kevin Covert, and the deputy chairman of the Khatlon region, Rajabali Rajabov.
The project, funded by USAID, aims to strengthen the competitiveness of the agricultural sector in Tajikistan, especially in the dairy industry and horticulture, in order to stimulate economic growth, increase employment and improve living standards for farmers.
