The Minister of National Economy of Kazakhstan, Timur Suleimenov reported on the results of the socio-economic development of Kazakhstan in January-October 2018 at the Government meeting.

"The economy of Kazakhstan maintains a positive growth trend. GDP growth in the reporting period amounted to 4.1%. The main factors of economic growth were high investment activity, a slowdown in inflation, also an increase in production in basic sectors of the economy," the minister explained.

According to him, the inflation rate remains within the corridor of 5-7% - in October it was 0.4%, and from the beginning of the year - 3.7%. Annual inflation was 5.3%. Timur Suleimenov said he had reached a record low in the last three years. Investments in fixed assets increased by 20.8%.
