In Tajikistan, the first hydropower plant is ready for commissioning, reports the plant's press service.

“The volume of water accumulated in the dam of the Rogun hydropower station under construction is sufficient for launching the first stage of the hydropower station,” the message reads.

It is noted that the height of the dam of the Rogun hydropower plant, has now reached more than 75 meters. The volume of water in the reservoir is 214 million cubic meters.

At the facility, in addition to the Italian company Salini Impregilo, which builds a hydroelectric dam, there are over 70 subcontractors operating.

In total, more than 20 thousand people are involved in the construction of the Rogun hydropower plant, and the construction work is carried out according to the approved schedule. The design height of the hydroelectric dam is 335 meters, and the water level will reach 305 meters.
