Gas meters are installed in Ashgabat

Local authorities of Ashgabat are installing mass gas meters for the residents. Installation cost of the gas meter has increased by an average of 22 percent.

"I saw that employees of gas management checked the houses. Then I asked them how much the gas meter is worth and they said that they are worth 212 manats (over 60 dollars). A few hours later, they came to my house to install the gas meter. They told me that  it costs 260 manats", - said the correspondent of Turkmen service of Azattyk.

According to him, a few days ago his neighbor paid 212 manats.

Recall, gas will be paid to residents in Ashgabat by 2019.  However, there is no any information about tariffs are not. The government has canceled the decision to use gas, water and electricity for free.
