Seven medical workers were charged with trafficking in children in Kyrgyzstan, reports the Minister of Internal Affairs of the country, Kashkar Zhunushaliyev.

According to him, six people are in the detention center and one in the house detention. The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs said he cannot give any details because of investigation process.

According to some sources, four criminal cases on child trafficking have been initiated in Kyrgyzstan.

Gynecologists working in the Bishkek City Hospital were arrested for suspicion of child trafficking. The police are not telling their names yet. The case was initiated under Article 124 (Trafficking in Persons) of the Criminal Code of Kyrgyzstan.
