The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) transferred to the heads of state-owned enterprises for the management of the automobile industry equipment for road maintenance, with a total value of over $ 17 million,reports the office of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
“The ceremony attended President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rakhmon, Ambassador of Japan to the Republic of Tatarstan Hadzhime Kitaoka, Head of the JICA representative office in the RT Hideki Tanabe. The head of Tajikistan emphasized the importance of supporting Japan and noted the need to train specialists for the proper and sustainable operation and maintenance of equipment,” the message reads.
For the efficiency of road transport and logistics, the project built two asphalt concrete plants, two stone crushing plants, and provided more than 200 different types of equipment to state-owned enterprises for managing automobile facilities in the Sughd region and the Kulyab region.
Tajikistan has about 30 thousand km of the total automobile network, approximately 65% of freight traffic and 99% of passenger traffic, depending on the road network.
JICA supports the Republic of Tajikistan in improving road maintenance by providing equipment and conducting training courses to improve the skills of workers in their maintenance.
