In the updated Passport Index Henley & Partners Kazakhstan took 69th place.
The data of the Passport Index for the fourth quarter of 2018 showed that the most “mobile” is the passport of Japan. Citizens of Japan can visit 190 countries of the world without a visa. This is a record figure for the entire existence of the Index. Three months ago, Japan shared first place with Singapore, but the Japanese got visa-free access to Myanmar, leaving Singapore in second place (189 countries with visa-free visits). Germany, which recently was the undisputed leader of the Index, ranks 3rd (188 countries). The same figure in South Korea and France. The fourth place was shared by Denmark, Italy, Spain, Finland, Sweden.
“For three months, Kazakhstan fell in the ranking from 66th to 69th place, but this happened only due to the movement of other countries. Citizens of Kazakhstan can still visit, without a visa, a record 76 countries for the country. The same indicator for a Namibian passport. At the beginning of 2018, visa-free access to 71 countries was opened to citizens of Kazakhstan,” the company's message reads.
Russia ranks 47th in the Index with visa-free access to 119 countries of the world, Azerbaijan - 75th place (66 countries), Uzbekistan - 82nd place (59 countries).
