Nursultan Nazarbayev takes part in a meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the CIS, reports the official website of the President of Kazakhstan.

During the meeting, the Head of State focused on the results of work to strengthen and develop relations within the CIS. Thus, Nursultan Nazarbayev noted the effectiveness of the measures taken to reform the organization and update the conceptual documents of the Commonwealth.

The President pointed to a number of promising areas that will contribute to the further deepening of interstate relations. In particular, the Head of State stressed the need to strengthen the economic foundations of the CIS and the adoption of measures aimed at removing trade barriers between countries.

Nursultan Nazarbayev also focused on the expansion of trade and economic relations and the use of the transit-transport potential of all CIS countries.

In addition, the President of Kazakhstan focused on the implementation of joint projects in the science and space industry, in the field of digitalization and tourism.

The head of state also spoke about the possibilities of the Astana International Financial Center created in Kazakhstan and invited all CIS member countries to take an active part in the AIFC work.
