The Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan Kairat Abdrakhmanov met with The Defense Minister of India Nirmala Sitkharaman who came with official visit to Kazakhstan.
The two sides mentioned the consistent development of Strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and India. Moreover, the regular meetings of Nursultan Nazarbayev and Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi have a positive influence on bilateral relations.
Also, the Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan noted that the special importance of peacekeeping within the UN security Council and thanked side of India for the opportunity to contribute to the development of the peacekeeping contingent of Kazakhstan in the UN Battalion for the United Nations.
In addition, in his turn, Narendra Sitharaman mentioned Kazakhstan's role as a member of the UN Security Council and the important role of Kazakhstan in regulating the situation in Afghanistan and the settlement of the Syrian crisis within the Astana process. The Indian Minister thanked Kazakhstan for its reliance on India in selecting a peacekeeping partner. "Our countries for the first time in history have set up a peacekeeping contingent, and this should serve as an example for other states. The sides will learn a lot of things and strengthen their peacekeeping mission", - noted the Minister.
