18 000 civilians have been killed in a Russian military operation in Syria over the past three years.  3 thousand of them are women and children, reports the headquarters of the Human Rights Monitoring Center  based in London.

According to human rights activists, Moscow initially helped Syrian President Bashar al-Assad to double the surveillance of the region.

Human rights defenders have blamed the international community for failing to influence on Moscow. They asked the UN Security Council to stop the war in Syria and punish those who committed war crimes.

Moreover, they announced that  the Moscow army killed 85,000 terrorists in Syria for three years. According to official data, 112 Russian soldiers were killed, 8 planes and 7 helicopters crashed.
