Russia banned the import of 100 tons of Kazakh agricultural products, the press service of the Rosselkhoznadzor.

"From August 31 to September 3, officials of the Rosselkhoznadzor Administration in the Orenburg region on the Russian-Kazakh section of the state border of the Russian Federation towards the "Mashtakovo" border checkpoint in Pervomaisky district prevented 5 attempts to smuggle 100 tonnes of quarantine products of high phytosanitary risk from the Republic Kazakhstan," the Russian department reports.

During the inspection it was established that: without a phytosanitary certificate, a pumpkin fresh in the amount of 20 tons was imported to the territory of the Orenburg region; accompanied by invalid phytosanitary certificates melons and fresh grapes were imported, in the amount of 80 tons.
