In the first half of 2018, Kazakhstan left 5,250 people with higher education. Most of the leaving Kazakhstanis are technicians, reports the Committee on Statistics of the MES of Kazakhstan.

15 399 Kazakhstanis dropped out to the CIS countries, and to other countries - 1,772 Kazakhstanis.

They left both from cities and from rural areas. The urban population dropped: in the CIS countries - 13 226 people, in other countries - 1 335 people. From the countryside in the CIS, 2 173 people moved to other countries - 437 villagers.

In the CIS, the residents of the East Kazakhstan region left the most - 2 402 people, Kostanai - 2 157 people, Karaganda - 2 067 people, Pavlodar region - 1 771 people, North Kazakhstan region - 1 426 people.

In other countries, most of the residents of Almaty left - 303 people, Karaganda - 286 people, Kostanay - 209 people, Pavlodar - 201 people.
