"Due to the availability of sufficient capacities for the export of Kazakh oil, including the extension of the CPC pipeline (the Caspian Pipeline Consortium), the issue of exploring the possibility of transit of Kazakh oil through the territory of Azerbaijan is not being considered. Nevertheless, the possibility of such supplies is not ruled out," said Kanat Bozumbaev, Kazakhstan's energy minister.
According to him, in the future, as the extraction of hydrocarbon raw materials increases in Kazakhstan, "and also with the economic feasibility of supplying Kazakh oil for export through the territory of Azerbaijan, the above issue will be considered by the parties concerned."
