Uzbekistan plans to raise the retirement age to 63 years for men and 58 years for women, reports Sputnik Uzbekistan.

This became known after the discussion of the draft Concept of reforming the system of state pension provision of citizens, held in Tashkent.

"Considering the social importance of the proposed reforms, the experts noted the need for a phased implementation of the proposed innovations. Therefore, it is proposed to increase the necessary minimum of work experience in the first stage to 10 years, increasing for a year starting from 2019, and increasing the retirement age each year by 6 months starting from 2022, with bringing it to 58 years for women and 63 years for men," the Ministry of Finance noted.

Recall, in Uzbekistan, women retire at 55, and men retire at 60.
