A book by President Nursultan Nazarbayev 'The era of Independence' was presented at the roundtable in Dushanbe organized by the Kazakh Embassy in the Republic of Tajikistan, reports the Embassy's press service.
It is devoted to the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Kazakhstan and Tajikistan.
In his speech, Ambassador Nurlan Seitimov acquainted the audience with the main content of the book written in the genre of historical journalism, noting that it highlights the stages of building sovereign Kazakhstan since its foundation to the present time.
N.Seytimov also drew the attention of participants of the round table to the sections of the book devoted to the interaction of Kazakhstan with the countries of Central Asia and bilateral relations with Tajikistan, noting their relevance in the context of the upcoming official visit of the Tajik President E.Rahmon to Astana.
Honored economist of Tajikistan, Professor Kh. Umarov highlighted the economic model of Kazakhstan's development in the 1990s and now.
He also expressed gratitude to Kazakhstan and its President for economic support of Tajikistan in the first years of independence, when the country was experiencing considerable difficulties.
