In the South Kazakhstan region in 2018, 50 new schools will built. As noted by the authorities of the region, 15 of them will be built within the state program "Nurly Zhol", five more at the expense of the republican budget. The construction of the remaining 30 will pay the budget of the SKR. It will cost 9.5 billion tenge.

In 2017, at the expense of the regional budget funds, 39 schools and three colleges began to be built. By the end of the year, 12 schools were put into operation.

Construction of the remaining 30 is planned to be completed in 2018. South Kazakhstan regions' government noted that if the contractors keep the pace of construction, until the end of 2018 a total of 50 new educational establishments will be put into operation in the region.

The education department of the South Kazakhstan region noted that they have already sent an application for additional funding.
