This year 40% of schools in Kazakhstan will be taught in English. This was announced by the Vice Minister of Education and Science Ashat Aimagambetov.

According to him, according to the survey conducted by the Ministry, 80% of Kazakhstani teachers know how to teach lessons in English.

"By September 1, 7 thousand teachers will be able to know English at level B2. They will start teaching chemistry, physics, biology and computer science in English from September 1. So, in the 2018-2019 academic year around 2,000 general education schools will begin teaching one or four subjects in English for 10-11 grades", - noted Ashat Aimagambetov.
