Until the end of May, a draft comprehensive plan to combat cancer must develop in Kazakhstan, said Deputy Prime Minister, Yerbolat Dosayev, BNews.kz reports.
"Until the end of May 2018, a draft comprehensive plan to combat cancer must be developed, in which it is necessary to provide for the provision of highly effective early diagnosis in the treatment of cancer based on international best practice," Dosayev said at an expanded meeting of the board of the Ministry of Health.
The Vice Prime Minister is sure that instead of building expensive oncological clinics, it is worth paying attention to the prevention of cancer is cheaper.
"Oncology remains our main problem, and especially we need to pay attention to those regions where the incidence is high. We receive many budget requests for the construction of oncological dispensaries and clinics. However, the most important thing in the field of oncology, as practice shows, is prevention, which costs much cheaper, and it is possible to carry out more effective measures that we have today, "Dosaev concluded.
