Persons who adopted orphans are exempt from income tax. This was reported by Vice-minister of national economy Ruslan Dalenov at a briefing in the Central Communication Service.

"Persons who adopted orphans are exempt from income tax every year, about two million tenge per year, that is, there is no tax like this amount", - he noted during the introdusing new Tax code.

According to the report, the actual tax deduction make up 2,1 million tenge. In Kazakhstan, personal income tax is 10% of the tax rate. Thus, the parent does not pay 210 thousand tenge per year.

According to Dalenov, one of the parents will be exempt from paying this tax every year until the child reaches the age of 16. This is the norm in Kazakhstan for all adoptive parents.

"And if one of the foster parents becomes disabled, they will be granted land tax, registration and tax benefits," - he told.
