More than 53 thousand grants for higher education in bachelor degree allocated in 2019, said the Minister of Education and Science of Kazakhstan Askhat Aymagambetov.

This year, 53,785 undergraduate grants are being awarded. For the magistracy, as in the past year, the number of more than 13 thousand grants remains. 2,312 grants are given for doctoral studies, A. Aimagambetov reported.

According to him, the ministry pays special attention to ensure that applicants are aware of how many grants are allocated, which competition and which documents must be submitted.

- If this is all they know, then upon delivery of the documents they will be able to make the right decision for themselves. Most of the grants this year are allocated for technical specialties, but the social sphere also does not remain without attention. For example, the issue of inclusive education is raised. Therefore, this year we increased the number of grants due to defectology, the minister explained.
