During the meeting, the Kazakh leader noted that Kazakhstan highly appreciates the cooperation and intends to strengthen bilateral ties with Qatar, wrote akorda.kz.

- I am happy to have this meeting. We have ample opportunities to deepen trade and economic cooperation between our countries. We are well aware of Qatar’s investment potential. We are interested in expanding the interaction of our states, including the formation of the necessary mechanisms to attract investment from Qatar, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said.

In turn, Emir of Qatar again congratulated Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on his election as President of Kazakhstan and expressed confidence in further strengthening the relations between the countries.

- We are intending to invest in your country. Kazakhstan is also interested in this. I think that in the case of creating a joint technical commission to strengthen our cooperation, this will positively affect the relations between the two countries, Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani emphasized.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to develop trade and economic partnership. The President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, also wished the Emir of Qatar a successful World Cup.
