The first insulin production in Uzbekistan was launched in Andijan, the press service of the Ministry of Health reports.
“In April 2019, a plant with a production capacity of 10 million insulin ampoules per year began work in the village of Khartoum, Andijan district. At this time, the Ministry of Health, the Agency for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry and Zamin Bio Health LLC have begun a large-scale investment project in the Andijan region for the production of insulin used to treat diabetes,” the message reads.
As it is noted, clinical research work has been completed in the country for the production of the insulin preparation meeting international requirements.
