Uzbekistan, the United States and Canada signed 10 agreements following a forum in Navoi, the Foreign Ministry’s press service said.
“On May 17, the first Uzbek-US-Canadian business forum was held in Navoi. The event was attended by a delegation of the State of Mississippi (USA) headed by Governor Phil Bryant, members of the US-Uzbek Chamber of Commerce, businessmen from the states of Texas, Florida, Nebraska, representatives of Eximbank of the USA, USAID, the US diplomatic mission in Tashkent, and a trade mission Canada is headed by the Chargé d'affaires of this country in Uzbekistan, Anik Goulet,” the message reads.
The event included speeches by the Governor of Mississippi, the head of the delegation of Canadian business circles, officials of the Government of Uzbekistan and leading foreign investors who implement projects in the Navoi region. Also, in the course of an organized cooperation exchange, direct bilateral negotiations were held between representatives of the business circles of Uzbekistan and potential partners from the USA and Canada.
