Uzbekistan to buy buses for almost $ 20 million for international transportation, the UzTAG reports.

“A loan agreement was signed between the State Development Bank of China and the National Bank for Foreign Economic Activity of Uzbekistan to provide a specialized company, Uzautotrans Service, with a loan of $ 19.99 million for the project “Acquisition of passenger buses for international transportation” with a maturity of 7 years, including a three-year grace period,” says the presidential decree.

According to the document, Uzbekistan’s contribution to the project implementation will amount to $ 5.25 million in the form of tax and customs benefits during the investment period.

The document also provides for the exemption of Uzautotrans Service until January 1, 2023 from paying all types of taxes and customs duties (except for customs clearance fees) for vehicles. It is planned that the auto enterprise will be able to transport over 818 thousand people a year, 30 international routes will be opened.
