Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov is on a two-day official visit to the Federal Republic of Germany.
On the second day of the visit, April 16, an official meeting of Jeenbekov and the Federal President of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier took place in Berlin. Next, the heads of state held talks, according to the department of information policy of the President’s Office of the Kyrgyz Republic.
In addition, Jeenbekov met with German Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel, also with the Chairman of the Bundestag, Wolfgang Schäuble. Sooronbay Jeenbekov and Angela Merkel made a statement to the press.
Then the head of state visited the embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Federal Republic of Germany, talked to the staff of the diplomatic mission. In Berlin, he visited the Reichstag building and during the tour he personally saw the surviving fragments of inscriptions of Soviet soldiers and officers left here in May 1945.
Following the official visit of the President of Kyrgyzstan to Germany, a package of bilateral documents was signed aimed at strengthening cooperation in the field of diplomatic relations, economics and industry, agriculture and the agro-industrial complex, education, development of tourism and trade and economic relations, in the financial sphere.
