According to the National Olympic Committee, the president of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) flew to Tashkent to discuss the possibility of holding the Asian Games in Uzbekistan.

"The leadership of the National Olympic Committee began work on the project, and the Asian Olympic Council submitted an application to host the Asian Games-2030 in two cities of Uzbekistan - Tashkent and Samarkand", reads a statement.

In addition to Uzbekistan, countries such as Qatar, India and the Philippines have applied for holding the Asian Games-2030.
