The Prosecutor General's Office registered 1 thousand 368 crimes against children in Kyrgyzstan last year. This was announced at a round table by Aslan Atabiyev, the head of the department for counteracting corruption, supervising the implementation of laws in the social sphere and protecting the rights of children.
According to him, the number of crimes against children is increasing in Kyrgyzstan.
“1,107 crimes against children were registered in Kyrgyzstan in 2017, and in 2016, 862. That is, in 2017, the number of offenses rose by 28 percent, and in 2018, by 24 percent. Most of the crimes are committed in Bishkek, Talas and Osh regions. In addition, the statistics of crimes in Naryn, Jalal-Abad and Chui regions are decreased", - said Aslan Atabiev.
