Since the beginning of 2018, the rate of inflation in Uzbekistan increased to 12%, reports the State Committee on Statistics.
“In November of this year, prices for goods and services in the country's consumer market increased on average by 2.3%. In general, over the 11 months (January-November) inflation in the consumer sector was 12.0%,” the message reads.
Food products in November rose by 2.7%, non-food products - 1.2%, services - 3.3%.
An analysis of the nature of changes in consumer prices for each month of the year showed that, since September, inflationary pressure on the economy has increased. Thus, in September, the average consumer price level for the month increased by 1.8%, in October - by 1.3% and in November - by 2.3%, in general, only in the last three months, prices rose by 5.4%.
Recall that, according to IMF forecasts, inflation in 2019 in Uzbekistan will rise to 17-18%.
