Turkmenistan will begin to introduce an electronic education platform in Turkmenistan starting from January 2019, the foundation of which will be electronic diaries, reports the edition Orient.
The diary will upload schedules and ratings. It will be available from any device which connected to the Internet . It can be desktops or smartphones.
Teachers, students and parents will also be offered a digital library, instant messaging system, the ability to put electronic signatures in diaries. However, Orient notes that it’s too early to talk about the final form of the educational platform. Perhaps some of the planned functions will not be implemented, and perhaps there will be some unplanned functions.
In addition, Internet penetration in Turkmenistan remains low, and many sites (including all major social networks) in the country are blocked. Nevertheless, the authorities have long been trying to introduce digital technologies in education.
