The Minister discussed with Deputy Secretary General for Political Affairs of the United Nations Rosemary DiCarlo issues of cooperation in Central Asia and strengthening of the UN regional presence in Almaty during their interview. During the meeting, Kairat Abdrakhmanov gave information concerning the initiatives proposed by the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev during the Summit of the Caspian Summit in Aktau, the meeting of the founding states of the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea and the Summit of the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States.
In addition, DiCarlo highlighted Kazakhstan's positive role as a member of the UN Security Council. In general, according to her, Central Asia has shown a great dynamics of regional cooperation and development in recent years. The sides agreed to accelerate the coordination of the draft agreements for signing within the framework of the planned meetings at various levels.
In addition, the intergovernmental agreement on the elimination of the visa regime for the holders of diplomatic and service passports was signed during the meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Kingdom of Morocco Nasser Bourita. Moreover, Kazakhstan and Morocco intend to expand trade and economic, cultural and humanitarian ties.
