In January-July, 2018, Kazakhstan produced 60 million tons of coal compared to 59.7 million tons in the same period last year, reports the Ministry of Energy.
"Coal-mining enterprises, according to operative data, for 7 months of this year. produced 60 million tons of coal ... Power plants shipped 32.4 million tons of coal, which is 102.5% over the same period last year (31.6 million tons). For communal and domestic needs and the population, 5,44 million tons of coal were shipped - 100% to the same period of 2017," the report reads.
As noted, during this period 15.5 million tons of coal were exported.
