Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was briefed on the current state of Nur Otan party, the ongoing work on enhancing the mechanisms of interaction with government bodies and ensuring joint work with the Presidential Executive Office, wrote akorda.kz.

Bauyrzhan Baibek reported on his visits to the regions, the Party’s activities to consolidate the work with the primary party organizations and the process of cleansing the Party’s staff. He also reported on the cessation of work of the national coalition of democratic forces and plans for the institutional participation of the Party in the work of the National Council of Public Confidence.

The Head of State underscored the importance of strengthening feedback from the public. The President called on the Nur Otan members to participate more actively in the country’s life and to be closer to the people.

“The Party should become open and accessible to citizens, effectively protect the interests of the population, timely revealing and communicating to the public authorities the demands of the population. Public reception parties in close conjunction with the President’s virtual reception should be a real mechanism for solving people's problems,” said Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
