There will be no military depots in Arys, where an arsenal of ammunition exploded on June 24. This was announced at a special briefing by Deputy Minister of Defense Bakyt Kurmanbayev.
According to him, the warehouses will be destroyed in the near future.
"Within three days it is necessary to complete the work on cleaning the fragments of shells. The causes of the fires will be clarified by the investigation team, which is currently dealing with this issue", - he noted.
As of June 25, about 130 shells were found. Not all homes have been checked yet, so residents are strictly forbidden to return to the city.
In addition, explosions of ammunition at the arsenal near Arys began on Monday, June 24th. The population of the city, where 44.3 thousand people live, was evacuated, and the city itself was cordoned off by the military.
As a result of the explosions, according to the official data, three people died. 70 people asked for medical care, of which 45 were hospitalized.
