The United States excluded Uzbekistan from the list of violators of religious freedom. This was reported by the State Secretary Mike Pompeo when presented the annual report on religious freedom in the world.
For more than 10 years, the US Department of State has included Uzbekistan in the list of "countries of particular concern". In these countries, according to the United States, freedom of religion is seriously violated. Entering into the list can be a reason for restrictive measures - in accordance with the law of 1998, which defines the maintenance of religious freedom outside the United States as part of American foreign policy.
