The heads of several states are expected to arrive in Kyrgyzstan at the summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO). This was announced at a press conference by Daniyar Sydykov, head of the foreign policy department of the President’s Office of the Kyrgyz Republic.
According to him, the leaders of 11 countries will come to participate in the summit of the heads of the SCO member states: Russia, Kazakhstan, China, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, India and Pakistan.
The presidents of Afghanistan, Belarus, Iran and Mongolia will participate in the event as observers. In addition, invitations were sent to the leadership of a number of international organizations. Following the summit, about 20 documents are expected to be signed.
Recall, earlier it was reported that a meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization will be held in Bishkek on June 13-14.
In 2019, Kyrgyzstan chairs the SCO and the CSTO.
